Virginia M. Walton

Virginia Marie Walton, 95, passed away November 23, 2015. Virginia was born January 11, 1920, to Fred and Minnie Muhl. She graduated from Waite H.S. in 1938 and worked for Hickok Oil Company. During WWII, she prayed every lunch hour at Trinity Episcopal Church for the safe return of Arthur Walton. She married Art on October 26, 1946. He passed in 1999, after 53 years of marriage and parenthood with her. Virginia was a 77 year member of the Eastern Stars, Daughters of Jephthah, Rainbow Girls, and Trinity Church. She loved the church and was truly loved by everyone who knew her. Her thoughtfulness was expressed through the many cards sent to her friends on all types of occasions. Virginia is survived by her sons, Arthur E. Walton III (Crystal) and Mark (Bonnie) Walton; grandchildren, Eric (Tara), Amy (Kevin), Julie, Tom (Jenn), Katie, and Kristen; plus three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 30th, at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Palestine Chapter #51 Order of Eastern Stars will be conducting their memorial service for Virginia at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The family will receive guest at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 1st, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 316 Adams Street, in downtown Toledo followed by the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
