Rose Ann (Snyder) Wulff of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026. Her family was thankful for her long and active life. Rose was the 9th child of Grover and Sylvia Snyder. She attended Burroughs School and Libbey High School. She met her husband Harley at church. They were married for 76 years. Rose was a stay at home mother for her three daughters. She also cooked, cleaned and babysat children to bring in money while staying active in her daughters’ life. Rose also worked on weekends at catered affairs. She loved to sew and make the girls matching dresses for the holidays. She was active in Girl Scouts with her daughters. But her love was cooking and baking. Rose learned to decorate cakes and made cookies weekly for her family. When her youngest daughter attended junior high, Rose started working in the Toledo Public Schools cafeterias. She was a hard worker and eventually went to the main kitchen where she advanced to the Head Baker and the Head Cook. Rose worked for TPS for thirty years.
Her hobbies included ceramics, embroidery and flowers. She put in many flats of flowers in her gardens yearly, and inside the home always had fresh flowers. Church was very important to Rose and Harley. They attended Westminster Presbyterian Church until it closed. Rose sang in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon. After the church closed, they became members of the First Presbyterian Church of Maumee. She prepared the monthly Communion Table for over 20 years making sure the tablecloth was starched and pressed. They had many friends at church and she enjoyed making special meals and desserts especially lemon meringue with homemade pie crust. Summer months were spent camping throughout the United States in a travel trailer. She had to plan all meals and rarely did they eat at a restaurant. Harley and Rose also traveled with friends to Europe, Alaska and Hawaii. They also were active in the Toledo Metroparks and enjoyed cross-country skiing in Swan Creek Metropark which was near their home. After retirement, she also enjoyed her grandchildren by taking them camping and participating in their school events.
Rose Ann is survived by her daughters Diane (Howard) Haas, Deborah (Kevin) LaZette and Denise Potts; grandchildren Brad Potts, David (Linda) Potts, Danielle (Jamie) Clay and Bryan (Courtney) LaZette; great grandchildren Connor Potts and fiancé Rylee Smith, Aubrey Rose (named after Rose) and Carter Clay, Vivienne LaZette, Allison and Lauren Sloan.
