IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert B.
Northup
March 28, 1948 – March 10, 2026
Robert (Robin) B. Northup was born March 28, 1948, and died of natural causes March 10, 2026. Robin attended St. Michael’s in the Hills Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High school and went on to earn several degrees and certifications in Culinary Arts, Truck Driving, Radiology, and even a pilot’s license. He was a radiologist for decades at Toledo Hospital until retirement. He moved to Vero Beach, FL to enjoy the sunshine and spend time with his brothers and sister-in-law. He moved back to Sylvania, OH in 2025 to enjoy more family time with his nephews, Alex and Joshua, bonus niece Jennifer, and their families. He loved snorkeling, motorcycle riding, traveling the world, cooking and baking, photography, art, bowling, ping-pong, fishing, movies, Rummikub, and enjoying every holiday to the fullest. We will miss him stopping over with his no-occasion, made from scratch, pies. The absolute best and made with love.
He was preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Spencer Northup, his brother Spencer II., and great-niece McKenzie. He is survived by Alex (Joy) Northup, Joshua (Elisha) Northup, Jennifer (Patrick) Miller, sister-in-law Amy Cameron, sister-in-law Cindy Northup, and brother Charles Northup. He was the best great-uncle to Ryan, Robert, and Clarissa, who miss him immensely. He is also survived by several close cousins and beloved friends.
Robin requested no funeral service be held after his passing. His ashes will be buried, with close relatives in the Northup plot, at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life at a date still to be determined.
