Raymond C. Floering

FLOERING RAYMOND C. Raymond C. Floering, 92, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Swan Creek Retirement Village. Raymond was a 1942 graduate of Libbey High School. He served in the US Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945 in the Signal Corp. Following his honorable discharge from service he went to work for New York Central and Penn Central Railroad. His span on the railroad lasted 43 years, starting as a fireman and retiring as an engineer in 1986. He was a member of the Railroad Engineers Association. Ray is survived by his daughter, Jane (Todd) Smyth and son Allan Floering; brother Edward Floering; grandsons Justin (Caitlin) and Jeremy (Mariana) Smyth and great granddaughters Lilly, Hailey and Scarlet. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23rd, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue.
