Patricia Ann Case

Patricia “Patty” Ann Case, age 79, of Toledo, Oh passed away April 30, 2026 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 25, 1946 to Norman and Sophia (Kurek) Merritt.

Patty worked at The Lucas County Jail in Commissary. After her time at the jail, she became a homemaker, sharing her home with her husband, Les Sr. for over 50 years. The world didn't stand a chance against her strong polish personality. Her family and their wellbeing was her main priority. When she wasn't tending to her family, she enjoyed working in her yard with her dogs Millie and Piper, going to casinos with her sisters and spending her Tuesday evenings playing bingo with her best friend Judy and friend Peggy.

She is survived by her children Dawn (Steve) and Les. Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren Brittney (Tim), Jeff (Renae), Christine (Dan), Taylor (Grant) and Sydney (Jake); great-grandchildren Olivia, Jaxson, Kenley, Elcie, Emma, Adiley, Everly and Jayden; Her sisters Angie, Rosie (Bob) and Kathy; many nieces and nephews.

Patty is preceded in death by her husband Les Sr.; her father Norman, mother Sophia, brothers; Chuck, Larry “Hatch” and Bob “bu-ba”, sister, Carol; brothers-in-law; Charles, Dave and Joe, sisters-in-law; Irene and Carol; nephew, Michael.

Her family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Clare and Mackenzie of Residential Hospice along with others for their kind and gentle care. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Alyssa, Brittney’s lifelong best friend for facilitating Patty’s exceptional care team and her continued support in this time of need.
