Marilyn A. Eyre

Marilyn A. Eyre, 86, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 13, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a short illness. She was born November 19, 1931, to Walter R. and Nellie A. (Zeller) Knecht in Bucyrus, Ohio. Marilyn married the love of her life, John E. Eyre, on July 5, 1952. Marilyn worked for several years at F.W. Woolworth Co. and Hickey Flowers in Maumee. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Carl, David and John Knecht, sister-in-law Betty Knecht and niece Carla Barker. Marilyn is survived by her son Richard (Debbie), daughter Sandy Eyre, grandchildren Michael Schroeder, Stephanie Eyre, Brian (Nichole) Eyre, Christopher Eyre, Alexander Reissig, a great-grandson due in June, sisters-in-law Joyce Knecht and Judy Knecht, along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Monday, April 16, from 4 - 6 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 6.
