Margaret J. Gartee

Margaret J. Gartee, 91, of south Toledo, born March 2, 1925, and passed away on the morning of September 26, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio , Toledo. Margaret loved watching the Detroit Tigers and going to the Casino, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She had two special friends, her dogs, Crisco and Penny. Preceding her in death were her husband of 62 years, Paul W. Gartee; her parents, brothers and sisters. Margaret is survived by her children Paul (Carmella) Gartee, Jr; Mary Fratilla, Richard (Pam) Gartee, Susan (Karl) Seidowsky and John Gartee; sisters Elvena (John) Haas and Theresa Monahan. She also had 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, on Wednesday September 28th from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
