Lewis Wayne Anderson

July 9, 1939 * June 5, 2026

Lew was born in Davison, Michigan to Wayne and Dorothy Myer Anderson. He graduated from Davison High School and later from Spring Arbor College.

In his younger years he was a competitive roller skater and an instructor for a period of time.

He worked for The Fauver Company for 29 years then moved to Dana Corporation in Toledo, and retired from Eaton Corporation.

He became a dedicated golfer, especially with his Special Great Eight group for over 25 years.

Following retirement Lew volunteered at Springfield High School and for the Athletic Department. He also volunteered and worked the counter at the Pro Shop at Heatherdowns Country Club.

Lew is survived by Diana his wife of 60 years, his sons Tim and Kevin, his daughter Jennifer, grandson Matt and his beloved great granddaughter Kali.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Lew will be held on his birthday July 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with a memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue in Toledo.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to Springfield High School Athletic Boosters Association.
