Kathleen worked for 40+ years within the Toledo Public School system in many administrative positions at several local schools. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her and became known as 'Aunt Kathy' to most everyone. As an avid fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes, she loved hosting get togethers with her sons, family & friends to root them on in the Buckeye Room and create memories that everyone will forever cherish. Kathy enjoyed doting on her beloved animals, playing cards, camping, and engaging in all things that involved spending quality time with those she loved.

Kathleen is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, John D. Williams Sr.; parents, William E. Day Jr. & Ethel M. Day (Brandt); and brother, James W. Day Sr.

Kathleen leaves behind her three sons, John Williams Jr. (Sarah Dodson), Mark Williams and Kevin Williams; granddaughter, Chelsey Fessler (Lee); brother, William E. Day III (Toni), sisters-in-law, Heidi Day, Barb Miller & Linda Fravel; niece, Tracy (Ryan) Black; nephews, William E. Day IV (Dayna), Jeff Miller and James Day Jr. (Kim); and many great-nieces and nephews that she adored. Also surviving is her life long best friend and cousin Michele Filipovich (Lon Sr.) and furbabies Archie & Rylee.

Family & Friends may gather to pay their respects at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave.
