John Richard Winters

John Richard Winters, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at the Grove at Oak Leaf Village. He was born June 2, 1925 to Robert and Joyce Winters here in Toledo. John was a World War II veteran of the US Army serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. John worked 40 years for Plaskon and Allied Chemical. Johns leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years JoAnn M. Winters; children Stephen J. (Debra) Winters, Deborah (Duke) Eding, Ann Marie Oshsner and Jeff (Sue) Winters; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild. Johns was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and grandson Ryan Wojciechowski. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13th form 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral services to begin at 11 a.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association of NWO.
