Jean Luginbuhl, 96, passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2025, in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born on June 28, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio. Jean lived a long and fulfilling life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
Jean dedicated over 25 years of her professional life as a customer service manager at Churchill’s Supermarket. Her commitment to her work reflected her warm personality and genuine care for those around her. She was known for her kindness and attentiveness and qualities that extended far beyond the workplace.
Her devotion to her family was unwavering. Jean was the beloved mother of Diane Little, James K. Luginbuhl, and David Luginbuhl. She was a cherished grandmother to Pamela (Matthew) McGuire, Kimberly (Jacob) Fuller, Christina Little, Kenneth Luginbuhl, and Nicole Little. Her legacy continues through her six great-grandchildren, Brooke Hojnacki, Jackson Trembach, Sebastian Hojnacki, Hunter McGuire, Jameson Trembach, and Mia Fuller.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James Luginbuhl; her brothers, Earl and Donald Kasch; and her parents, Harry and Florence Kasch.
A woman of deep faith, Jean was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Her involvement in the church community was a cornerstone of her life and a testament to the strength of her spiritual convictions.
In addition to her faith and family commitments, Jean found joy in simple pleasures. She loved playing cards with friends and family, baking treats that brought smiles to many faces, and sharing music through the piano and organ, both of which she played for many years. Above all else, she treasured time spent with those she loved most.
Jean was an incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She was the heart of her family, the glue that held everyone together, and she will be missed beyond words. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held June 28th, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church of St. Andrew United Methodist, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio. All donations can be made to Church of St Andrew United Methodist and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
