Elaine Louise Lark

Elaine L. Lark (Barker), 68 years, of Holland, Oh and Naples FL, passed away suddenly in Naples on November 1, 2025. Born and raised in South Toledo, Ohio, to Kenneth and Patricia Barker, she attended Beverly Elementary and Bowsher High School, where she met the love of her life, Jeff Lark. They shared over 48 wonderful years of marriage and raised two beautiful daughters, their greatest blessings.

As her daughters grew, Elaine found joy in working outside the home at Ken’s Flower Shop, Kahler Pharmacy, and Martin-Lark Insurance. Her most fulfilling career was alongside Jeff at Shawn’s Irish Tavern, where her people skills and attention to detail were evident. Customers and employees alike enjoyed Elaine’s interactions and her welcoming nature. Her leadership and willingness to teach and support associates played a vital role in Shawn’s success until her retirement in 2015.

In retirement, Elaine cherished her time as mom and grandma-spending summers at Devil’s Lake and winters in Naples surrounded by laughter, family, and friends. She greeted everyone with warmth, kindness, and her bright smile.

Elaine had a deep love for giving back. She was especially devoted to the Angel Tree programs, making sure every child had a gift at Christmas-no small coincidence, as she herself was born on Christmas Eve. Her generous spirit truly reflected the joy of the season and of her life.

Elaine's love, generosity, and strength touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are husband Jeff, daughters Courtney (Eric) Byrne, Sarah (Mike) Hillard, grandchildren Griffin Byrne, Eagan Byrne, Addison Hillard, Chloe Hillard, sister Lynn (Kevin) Lauck, brother-in-law John (Diane) Lark and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements: Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, also at Walter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery, 620 W. Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
