Dorothy Louise Grimes

Dorothy Louise Grimes, age 90 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1925 in Logansport, Indiana to William Joseph and Sara Ursula (Crowe) Wagner. On April 19, 1952, she married Robert Earl Grimes and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2003. Dorothy was a devoted homemaker who loved GOD and her family. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and longtime member of the former St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, Marilou (Scott) Walter of Napoleon, Ohio and Carol Hansen of Toledo, Ohio; a son, Robert Lee (Tammy) Grimes of Northwood, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel (Nell) Wagner of Peru, Indiana; a sister, Esther Ann McMillen of Logansport, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Mary Worl, Helen Knight, and Sara Jane Kitchel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church with Father Gregory Peatee, Celebrant. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the mass at the church (10:00 to 11:00 a.m.) Interment will be made in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m. where a rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and online condolences can be shared at coldrencrates.com.
