Daphne Elaine Vandiver

Daphne Elaine Vandiver, 77, went peacefully to her heavenly home Saturday, January 13, 2018, from Hospice of NW Ohio after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Daphne was born in Sprague, WV, to Elmer and Macie Blevins. She graduated from Whitney Vocational High School, after which, she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Vandiver, Sr. Daphne dedicated much of her life to raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. She also worked in Jerry’s business and as an Estee Lauder associate at The Lion Store. Daphne accepted Jesus at an early age. She was a member of Calvary Church for over 45 years. Daphne was dearly loved by her husband of 56 years and passionate caregiver Jerry, daughter Linda (Jim) Keller, son Jerry, and grandchildren Amanda, Ben (Faith), and Joshua Keller and Mollie (Joel) Maus. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Crawford, and brothers Arnold and Bob Blevins. Visitation will take place at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., from 10:00 a.m. to noon Thursday, January 18th, with service immediately following.
