Daniel L. Byrnes

Daniel Lee Byrnes, 69, formerly of Toledo and Tucson, AZ., passed away on March 30, 2022 in Tucson. A 1970 graduate of Bowsher High School, Daniel worked for the Kroger Company in Toledo and in Tucson, AZ, for over 50 years. Dan was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his best friend, Bruce. Dan attended the NCAA Men’s Final Four Basketball Tournament for 25 consecutive years. Dan is survived by his twin brother Douglas Byrnes; wife Erma Byrnes; nieces Bonnie and Beth; great-nephew Camden, and best friend Bruce Ladd. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Jean (Wallace) Byrnes. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo. His funeral service will begin on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
