Clyde E. “Gene” Adkins Clyde E. “Gene” Adkins, 71, of Toledo, passed away on June 20, 2017 at UTMC. Gene worked for Baron Steel Company, retiring in 2007. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sherri; son Bill (Jen) Adkins; 5 grandchildren; sister Betha Burnette and a nephew and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Ruby Adkins; two brothers and son Bobby Adkins. Visitation will be held Friday, June 23rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo.
