Carol S. Kothe, 86, of South Toledo passed away Oct. 16, 2026 at UTMC. Carol was born on May 7, 1940 to Raymond and Java (Powell) Griggs in Sylvania, OH. Her love and joy was spending time with grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with the family at the campgrounds. She was a long time member of St Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Ronald Kothe and son Raymond Kothe, as well as four sisters. She is survived by sons Ronald (Maryann), Robert (Robin) and Richard Kothe; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home 4653 Glendale Avenue on Friday, October 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, followed by burial at Beaver Creek Cemetery, Grand Rapids Township.
