Betty Mildred Peth

On May 9, 2026 Betty M. Peth of Monclova, Ohio was called home to be with her Lord. Betty was born on September 29, 1934 to Minnie and Estil Hurst. She grew up until approximately the age of ten on a Tobacco farm near Tazewell, Tennessee. Her parents and three brothers moved to Toledo in the early 1940’s when their father obtained a job here working on the railroad. On May 11, 1957 Betty married her high school sweetheart Clifford Peth. Together they raised two boys, Alan (Marilyn) and Daniel (Lisa). She enjoyed a life associated with the church, quilting and sewing, spending time in nature and enjoying her grandchildren.

Betty Peth was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years, son James Jay, and two brothers, Coty and Bill Hurst. Left to mourn her passing are her two sons and her grandchildren Josh (Makenzie), Colin (Allison), Drew (Ally), and Katelyn Peth.

Betty’s showing will be at St. Petrie Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio on Monday, May 18, with visitation starting at 9 a.m. and the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be sent to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Petrie Lutheran Church in Toledo.
