Benito "Benny" Moreno Rodriguez

Benito “Benny” Moreno Rodriguez, 75, of Buckhannon, WV passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Medicine Unite Hospital in Bridgeport, WV. Benny was born August 15, 1945 in Torrington, Wyoming. He lived in Clyde, OH most of his young life, where most of his family and siblings reside. He loved being with his famly and friends. Benny worked at the the Green Bay Packaging plant in Fremont, Ohio. He later moved to Buckhannon WV, where he lived at the time of his passing.

He always enjoyed helping others who were in need. He enjoyed gardening, billiards, canning foods, upholstery work, sewing and logging. Benny also collected clown figurines.

Benny was the son of the late Jose V. Rodriguez and Adelina M. Rodriguez, in addition to his parent he was preceded by his daughter, Sarah Bailey, one sister, Ricarda Deel and two brothers, Joseph and Eusebio Rodriguez.

He is survived by daughter, Thelma (Ray) Norman, WV one son, Justin Rodrigues of WV and 8 Grandchildren. Step-children: Raymond Bailey, Georgia Bailey and Dean Bailey of Ohio. Seven Sisters: Guadalupe Smallwood of Bucannon, WV; Mary Ann Rodriguez , Ohio; Amelia (Joe) Garcia of Ohio; Sylvia Rodriguez and husband Gerald, Ohio; Elvira (Bob) Miller, Ohio; Elvia Bockbrander, Ohio; Theresa (Kurt) Waggoner, Ohio and 2 brothers: Dave (Melody) Rodriguez and John (Jodi ) Rodrigues both of Ohio and 1 brother in law Danny Deel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In honoring Mr. Rodriguez’s wish, he was cremated.

As we bid farewell to Benny let us carry forward the love and laughter he brought in our lives. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us to cherish each moment and hold tight to the bonds of family.
