Raymond R. Nowak, age 73, of Toledo, OH passed away on March 7, 2024. He was born on August 6, 1950 to the late Richard and Genevieve Nowak in Toledo.
Raymond retired from Chrysler Jeep on March 1, 2008, after 31 years of employment. He also graduated from Trinity Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Biblical Studies and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served in South Vietnam.
Raymond married his lovely wife Christine Wilczek in 1972. He met her at his best friend’s house while she was visiting his mother. It was love at first sight. They had three children.
Raymond was raised a Roman Catholic, but became a Christian in July of 1976 after giving his life (along with his wife) to Jesus Christ and was “Born Again”. This happened after watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television. Also, WPOS Christian radio had a big part in preparing Raymond for his salvation. He enjoyed going to church, gospel sings and Christian events with his wife and children.
Raymond is survived by his wife Christine, sons Timothy and Daniel, daughter Evie (Terrance) Rayford, three grandchildren Teira, Tyla and Terrance Jr., his brother Michael (Lisa) Nowak and sister-in-law Janice Wilczek.
The family will receive friends and family from 10 AM-12 Noon on March 12, 2024 at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., where the memorial service will begin at Noon. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Raymond wanted to thank everyone God used to bless him while he was living. Especially his wife, pastors and friends who helped him in learning and living out his Christian faith in Jesus Christ. Most importantly, Raymond wants to praise his Heavenly Father for His grace and mercy in his life.
Any money given should be used to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
