Donald F. Jackson passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, Christmas night, about 10 months after his beloved wife, Marilyn K. Jackson. He was born May 26, 1930, to Catherine Miller (Roe). Donald was a 1949 graduate of Waite High School. Donald served in the National Guard and Army from 1951 -1953, during the Korean conflict, spending most of that time in Germany. Donald worked 38 years at The Bostwick Braun Company. He finished his career at the Commercial Wire Rope Company. Donald married his wife Marilyn on November 8, 1952. Donald and Marilyn were both very active in the former Broadway United Methodist Church where they both loved to sing in the choir. After Broadway closed, they became members of the Church of St. Andrews UMC. Besides his love of Church and family, Donald loved golfing, bowling, music, and knitting hats and gloves for the needy. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, mother, grandchildren Chad Pemberton and Melissa Jackson, one great-granddaughter Charlotte Sexton, and daughter-in-law Linda Hauschulz. He is survived by his children Donald Howard Jackson, Melinda (Mark) Sexton, Heather (Michael) LeGros, and Kathryn Cendrowski. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Church of St. Andrew UMC, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
