Carol Williams, 82, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 unexpectedly at the Lakes of Monclova

Carol was born January 16, 1942 to Clarence and Ruth Spiess. She grew up in Wauseon, Ohio. Carol worked for The Medical College of Ohio (presently known as UToledo Health) until she retired in 2004.

Carol was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she made countless baptism cloths. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and hearing about her grandchildren's adventures. She enjoyed various crafts and sewing, especially baby quilts.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Carl; brother in law, Jim Smock. She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Williams; son, Daniel (Ann) Williams; and three loving grandchildren, Katherine, Alex and Lauren Williams; brother John (Mary) Spiess; sister, Ann Smock; nephews Peter (Vicki) Spiess and Eric (Carolyn) Spiess.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. There will also be visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Comfort Dog Program or the American Heart Association.
